Son of Yitzhak and Galit, brother of Omer and Adi Ben Harush.
Born on August 1, 2001 (12 Av 5761).
In November 2020, he enlisted in the Oketz Unit, completed his training as an attack dog handler, and continued his path in the unit as an instructor. He commanded dog preparation processes, trained soldiers, and in his last position served as a lead instructor in the attack platoon.
Guy played a significant role in the “Iron Swords” War. On October 7th, he fought in Kibbutz Be’eri, and later spent many months in the Gaza Strip alongside his soldiers. He went on to fight in southern Lebanon for several weeks.
Staff Sergeant Guy Ben Harush fell during a clash with terrorists in southern Lebanon, alongside the 71st Battalion of the 55th Reserve Brigade, on October 24, 2024 (22 Tishrei 5785). He was 23 years old.
He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Pardes Hanna. He is survived by his parents, brother, and sister.
Guy was a dedicated, professional, humane, and caring commander who did everything for his soldiers and was loved by all who knew him, both at home and in the unit.
