We are committed to supporting the soldiers and veterans of the Oketz Unit, driven by our love for the country, for others, and for the unit itself. We work to the best of our ability and with full impartiality to promote the well-being of our members — professionally, personally, and ethically.
“Leading the Pack” is the official alumni foundation of Oketz — the IDF’s elite operational canine unit. Established in 2005 by unit veterans and parents of current and former soldiers, the foundation is led by a dedicated, elected volunteer committee. Our vision is to stand by every soldier — from the moment they join the unit and long after their service ends.
“Leading the Pack” is a non-profit organization. All of its income and activities are fully dedicated to supporting the community of Oketz soldiers and veterans, in both active and reserve duty, from past to present.
The “Alpha” Program was developed for the alumni community – combat soldiers who were physically or emotionally wounded during their service. It also supports the unit’s bereaved families, who have suffered the loss of their loved ones, and provides tools and support to strengthen personal and communal resilience after military service.
