Son of Esther and Jacques (Jimmy), and brother to Gadi, Oded, and Asaf. He was born on 29 July 1971 (7 Av 5731) in Kfar Saba.
In November 1989, Maurice enlisted in the IDF for mandatory service and volunteered for the Israeli Air Force’s elite unit “Shaldag,” later transferring to the Oketz Unit.
On 2 August 1993 (15 Av 5753), Maurice fell in the line of duty in a car accident that occurred in Kfar Saba as he was returning from the Armored Corps Memorial Site in Tel Aviv after a day of reserve service.
Staff Sergeant Maurice was laid to rest at the Kfar Saba Military Cemetery. He was twenty-two years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his parents and three brothers.
