Son of Klara and Albert, younger brother of Shulamit. He was married to Gal and father to Arbel-Gil.
Michael was born in Latvia—then part of the Soviet Union—on 7 November 1983 (1 Kislev 5744). He enlisted in the IDF on 26 November 2002.
He served in the Oketz Unit, and after completing his mandatory service, he continued in the unit as a career soldier. During his service, he rose to the rank of Master Sergeant.
Master Sergeant Michael Mikhailevich fell in the line of duty on 15 March 2013 (4 Nisan 5773). He was twenty-nine years old. He was laid to rest in the Be’er Sheva Military Cemetery. He is survived by his wife and son, his parents, and his sister.
