Son of Mark-Yitzhak and Devorah, and brother to Eliana, Yonatan, and Tal.
Aryeh was born on 24 September 1996 (11 Tishrei 5757) in Jerusalem.
He enlisted in the IDF on 27 July 2016 and served in the Oketz Unit.
Major Aryeh Shlomo Ziering fell in the Iron Swords War during the battle to liberate Yiftach Base on 7 October 2023 (22 Tishrei 5784). He was twenty-seven years old.
He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Ra’anana. He is survived by his parents, two sisters, and a brother.
Throughout his service, Aryeh was a role model to everyone around him. He was kind, modest, dedicated, and deeply caring, always stepping up to help with any task or request. Aryeh excelled in every area he touched—throughout his training, in combat, and as a commander.
